Year 6 had a memorable and thought provoking visit to Belgium last week. Their reflectiveness was super to see, and we had many positive comments from members of the public commending them on their excellent and respectful behaviour. Well done Year 6!
“Through mine and Courtney’s school years at Walsh, the visit to Belgium was the BEST trip we’ve ever been on in our entire lives! It was a great experience to go to the exact trenches that were used in WW1 and to go to Tyne Cot Cemetery to actually see the amount of graves that are there; over 12,000. There was nothing that people didn't enjoy except being delayed! It only meant that the teachers had to put up with us for longer! The Menin Gate at night was beautiful and the ceremony was outstanding. The whole trip was just out of this world, we couldn’t ask for better.”
