On Thursday, Year 6 went to Guildford Cathedral for their Leavers’ Service. The children took part in reflective activities titled: ‘Wow’, ‘Sorry’, ‘Thank you’ and ‘Please’ then we all gathered together for the service. Jack S, Grace D and Joseph F had the responsibility of carrying our Walsh standard during the procession and Dylan collected our new candle to use throughout next year during collective worship. The children were on their best behaviour and we were praised for our
wonderful singing by Jane Whittington, the event organiser. The children were given a bookmark to take home (along with the items they had made during the activities) to remind them that each one of them is unique and to help them to tackle their transition to secondary school in a positive manner. The staff would like to say a big well done to all children that represented our school at this event.
