Six pupils from Year 5 took part in the Community Bake Off at Shawfield Day Centre. The children had already attended a planning meeting and had paired up with a client from the day centre. They spent the day making and creating their 'show stopper' with their partner and demonstrated their cooking skills. The competition ended with Father Keith and Nicola Bassini (Community Connector) judging the cakes. Gemma and her partner won the competition and received their prize of chocolate. All of the staff and members at the day centre commented on the children's excellent behaviour and said they were a credit to our school. Well done to all of our bakers! Holst class—Rhianna H and Leah P, Lowry class—Kadie Mai S and Millie H, Lloyd Webber class—Hannah G and Gemma Y.
