On Thursday 23rd of March, Year 5 visited Ash Museum and St. Peter’s Church to explore the local area in greater depth for their community project.
We got to have a look up the bell tower and even got a chance to ring the bell. Father Keith gave us a talk about the church in the community and we got to explore the cemetery. We also got to spend time in Ash museum.
“The museum was cool because we got to see and find out how people used to live in Ash.”—Rayann (Lowry)
“It was really interesting to find out what Father Keith had to say about the Church and how old it was.”—Connor (Lowry)
The children had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They were fascinated by the history of Ash and how it is all on their doorstep without them even knowing.
