On Monday, Year 3 and 4 took part in a Roman themed day. The children started the day with a Roman maths lesson where they looked at Roman numerals. Next they had a banquet in the hall where all the children tried a variety of 'Roman' food such as olives and dates. They then did some Roman marching and learnt defensive strategies such as 'the tortoise' which was followed by their Roman book launch. All term the children have been on a Roman adventure and each child produced a topic book which they shared with their parents and family members! Everyone had a brilliant day and it was a great end to a very exciting topic!
