Year 5’s school council members, Macey A (Lowry), Adam H (Lloyd Webber) and Abi P (Holst),  were invited to the Eagle Radio station this morning to present some Easter egg hampers to their Easter Egg Appeal. The appeal helps give local, less fortunate children a happier Easter and benefits over fifty charities and organisations, and thousands of children across Surrey and Hampshire. Year 5 delivered the hampers as part of their community project.

The children and Mrs Boyce explained to Eagle Radio that all the Easter eggs had been donated by the parents for the PTFA’s raffle to raise money for our school library. The children got to meet ‘Breakfast Bev’ and ‘Morning Matt’ and DJ Adam Morris who thanked them for the donations from Walsh Junior.

Our school then got a special mention on the radio to thank us!
