On Friday 23rd June our Year 4 and Year 5 cricket teams took part in the Kwik Cricket Festival held at Aldershot cricket ground. The children displayed superb bowling and batting skills, with some children scoring the maximum 20 runs and having to retire. Congratulations to the Year 5 team who won all five of their games and won the final, retaining the trophy shield for another year! Year 4 won 3 games, drew 1 and lost 1. The children showed great sportsmanship to each other and all the other teams. The children were presented with certificates and medals, kindly donated by Mr Wildsmith. A big thank you to him and all the adults who helped on the day.

“I enjoyed the day because it was a lot of fun and there was lots of teamwork. We had really lovely weather and a picnic in the sun. The day was all about taking part and not winning.”
