NIGHTINGALE CLASS ‘BY THE SEASIDE’!
On Thursday 18th June, Nightingale class enjoyed a superb day at West Wittering . The children have been learning about water safety from the R.N.L.I, reading Mr Grindling the Lighthouse Keeper stories, and how to prepare and make food appropriate for a picnic. They have also been learning about sea creatures and coastal erosion.
The children had a glorious sunny day on the beach, they had a fantastic time paddling in the sea, building sandcastles and collecting seashells for their art work. They even enjoyed a BBQ tea, food they made in their
cookery lessons and a delicious ice cream!
“As we walked around the corner and saw the beach I said wow it's absolutely beautiful.” - Dylan “It was fun to play in the very salty sea.”
