STILL SPACE WEEK - JUNE 2016
Volunteers from St Peter's helped us to run our first ever 'Still Space' in school. We set up a special area in school and invited half a class at a time to come and enjoy being still for a while. There were a variety of activities to help children pause, think, reflect and pray - whichever they wanted to do. The response from children, volunteers and staff was overwhelmingly positive, and it's something we hope to repeat in the future. Children demonstrated that our school values are important to them as they showed compassion, thoughtfulness, kindness, respect as well as astounding us with their many spiritual responses.
REMEMBRANCE EXHIBITION NOVEMBER 2014
Our children contributed a range of creative memorial pieces for the 1914-2014 exhibition and reflection at St Peter's Church. All of our children had the opportunity to look at the exhibits and reflect on those who gave their lives to protect ours., and Year 6 took part in a Remembrance Day service on 11th November.
We have close links with the church and the cathedral, and children have opportunities to visit both.
Father Keith comes into school and takes assembly regularly.
